Participants will identify personal skills and interests, explore potential career paths, and set SMART (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, Time-bound) goals.
Module 2: Job Search Strategies and Digital Literacy Navigating the job market, identifying job openings, using online job boards, networking, and leveraging professional social media (e.g., LinkedIn). Participants will learn effective strategies for finding job opportunities and utilizing essential digital tools for their search.
Module 3: Creating Standout Application Materials Resume and cover letter writing (including incorporating life/volunteer experience), creating a portfolio, and developing a strong personal brand/elevator pitch. Participants will develop professional, customized resumes and cover letters that effectively highlight their qualifications.
Module 4: Interview Skills and Techniques Understanding the interview process, common interview questions, mock interviews, appropriate dress and grooming, active listening, and providing feedback. Participants will gain confidence in their interviewing abilities, practice effective communication, and prepare for various interview formats.
Module 5: Essential Soft Skills for the Workplace Communication (verbal and written), teamwork, problem-solving, critical thinking, emotional intelligence, time management, adaptability, initiative, and professionalism/work ethic. Participants will understand the importance of soft skills and learn to demonstrate these qualities through real-world examples.
Module 6: Workplace Success and Financial Literacy Understanding workplace culture and etiquette, reliability, managing stress, conflict resolution, financial literacy (e.g., budgeting, money management), and continuous learning. Participants will be prepared to integrate into a new job successfully, manage their personal finances, and commit to professional growth.
 
Teaching Methodology
